Also, the reason for them not to use that hardware in the first place is because the code for it isn't completed or something like that.

SDHC is just a different way of reading and writing data. Possible to change in a firmware upgrade...

But I bet they hardcoded something into the hardware itself.

Except I'm pretty sure that for the R4, "firmware" is read off the card every time, and as such is not firmware, strictly speaking.

I think that you need to think about how the R4 firmware works again. The R4 team even stated in the past the bootloader wasn't updateable when people asked them to stop skipping the bootscreen.

Yeah, SDHC really improves the graphik of the NDS, play Super Mario 64 on a R4DS and then on a cylcoDS and you know what I mean, with SDHC the game actually looks better on the NDS as it ever did on the N64. Sometimes I think it makes the screen bigger. I dont know how the do that, but it is awsome.

WTF ... I guess you get 2 * 2 GB no SDHC cheaper then 1 * 4 GB SDHC ... so whats the point? It's not like microSd Card are big bloody bastards.

Buddy you dont even know what SDHC is so why are you complaining? If you jsut bought the cards a few weeks ago, you are just even more stupid. Informe yourself carefully before you buy anything.



I thought I read once, that no SDHC divices can read the first 2 GB of a SDHC card, so if this is true, it could be possible to overload the original FW and at SHC support that way. But I dont know anything about that stuff.

As far is I know, it is a software issue. I don't think it can be solved by just a firmware update.

Best value card out there, and overall one of the best supported.

Certainly not waiting around to play new games like I was with the SuperCard team when I had an SCSD. People are spoiled nowadays.

Its impossible that r4 cannot support SDHC cards.Most of flashcarts support SDHC.The only thing that r4 team should do is make a firmware update

The R4 firmware can't be updated. The only thing you can update is the loader.

The DSTT is much better as the R4 nowadays, so go for it.

The R4 SDHC updates might work on the R4, but not with SDHC.
