He used the firmware that came with it. The firnware that uses the R4.dat and R4iMenu layout I think.

is there no other way to dump my R4 with out a slot 2 cart?

You may not need to dump the rom. Give me the firmware files you are currently using for it. If it has a softreset DAT file like the others, I can make it into a launcher for you with a high chance of success.

Those are the files I use and I have been trying to use wifi to dump it but I keep getting errors. I hope you could do something with these files. Thank you

Do you have a photo or know what version your R4 is? So I know what to label it when I upload it. (found the softreset file for this. Good chance I can get it to work for you. )

I noticed a "SoftReset.CEVO" on that download list; is that a SRL? It has "SRAM_V110[00 00 00]PASS" at the same address as the "Cyclo DS v1.nds" file posted a while back. Icon/description is junk data according to NDS Header Tool, but it reports "Header OK", so...

After MD5 checking the arm9 binary and looking at the header. It's indentical to this:

R4iGold_Launcher.rar

Did you try it yet? It should work with the firmware files you are already using.

I get two white screens the top one blinks with a black line for a quick second

The r4 gold firmware keeps saying I have a fake card telling me to return to seller on my ds light but does not work on 3ds. Is it possible just to try it for the one I sent? or there is no point in trying?

The one I sent you works but when I try the gold card firmware it says fake card.
Have you not seen my card anywhere before?

Yea it did not work but thank you very much for trying to help. So is the next step for me getting a rom dump of the r4?

Yeah. But It seems most of the R4 SDHC clones don't like getting their rom dumped.

This link was originally to the old launchers. But I've overwritten the files. Just redownload it and it will be the new launchers.

For me they boot to a blue bottom screen with "reloading executable" text and what not. So it may work if a CycloDS is present.

I get stuck at the same screen with the CycloDS present.

Well darn. The SRL was closer to the layout of a homebrew SRL. The soft reset srls for the DSTT and it's clones look more like retail roms. So I guess that may be one reason why it didn't work.
