Hey, so I recently got an R4 SDHC (the one from dealextreme with the gold packaging v2.10t from r4sdhc.com) and everything's fine in my ds lite except for one game: harvest moon ds, which, for the life of me, will not save because everytime I go and load the game, the beginning menu (where you can choose between "New Game" and "Continue") only shows "New Game" so I have to perpetually live through the beginning again and again and again and can't save...

The r4sdhc website gave me firmware that doesn't even work...

Is there anyway to change this?

Thanks!

Have you tried pressing the save button? Not sure about harvest moon ds but in sunshine islands you go to the menu and press diary to save. If that doesn't work make sure your r4 made a save file. If it didn't make sure you press "A" when the box shows up asking if you want to make a save file.

Hope i helped, if i didn't, sorry.

I tried saving multiple times but it just won't work. I see the .sav file (with the same exact name as the .nds file) on my SD card, but it won't show up when I plug it into the DS...

This is really frustrating me. :(

Either download a sav file or play a game in an emulator and save it then grab that sav file and replace your sav file on the card and see if it will load it. (make sure file name matches) If it does just use it, (a game you played in an emulator would probably be best because it would be your progress), if it doesn't try a different copy or possibly a cracked copy.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.

same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in

    it's dumb

    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
