Is my R4-SDHC based on a firmware other than R4? The reason i ask is that trying to install YSMenu doesn't quite work (keep getting unsupported dldi yada yada) and reading the beginning of Triassic911s guide it says that it might be possible if it's based on Acekard or DSTT so i'm kinda hoping that that is the case and i could use a tutorial from one of those sections.

If it isn't, and YSMenu just simply doesn't support my card then i shall just go cry in the corner somewhere.

Info:
Bought from r4i.co.uk
website on card is r4i-sdhc.com

i have the same card here, its a dstt clone, but also cant seem to use other firmware.

the firmware supplied isnt bad, but it cant run the latest games yet.

I'm pretty sure you can run unofficial DSTT 1.17a12 with it. You just have to launch it from your normal firmware.

You paid £14.95 for that? LOL you can get a genuine Acekard 2i from the UK for only £11.99

It's what I get for not researching properly. Before finding this forum, I had only heard of R4 so I stupidly went with that.

I got the unofficial DSTT 1.17a12 and it runs the stuff i want it to so thanks everyone and Lacius.

Well, if you ever come to your senses, it's 7dayshop that has them for £11.99 (delivered). They were £10.99 but the've just put the price up.

its a DSTT clone as i know someone that has one

using 1.17.12a unofficial works when u have booted the base but they seem to update alot more and the latest firmware for it is more up to date than 1.17.12a

i keep this location up to date so feel free to check it often

post above says YSMenu will work but it doesnt, but doesnt matter as 1.17.12a doesnt need patching with YSMenu to work
