ROM Hack R4 - Pokemon Black and White - noob questions

Hi all,

I've been away from the scene for some time now, mainly because i got into the PS3 and was hoping to get homebrew on that - but decided to go back to the DS.
So i've got a DS Lite, an R4 and if i can get hold of one, a Pokemon Black or White ROM.

Now, let the noob questions begin;

1) will i need to do anything special to the R4 to make it play this game? I assume the game has some kind of encryption.
2) Should i wait until an official English ROM comes out rather than the fan-made ones?
3) If i do get hold of an English ROM, will it work with wi-fi as a normal game would?
4) When is the English ROM expected to come out?

1) If you use Wood R4, no.
2) That's your choice, but personally I would use the official english one.
3) It should.
4) No one knows.

thanks Ping, and ill bear that in mind. To be honest, the game is only £25ish, i'll more than likely buy the game and then back it up so i don't need the cart on the move
