Okay...if what you see is actually white letters on a black screen, then I'm guessing that your card is not, in fact, an Acekard clone. Guess you should try installing YSmenu or something instead. Just go over to the R4 boards. I can't really help you much further.

if akaio 1.4.1 says "unsupported device" its a clone. if it does you can run the official firmware all day long.

Well, the AceKard 2i is like $15 or so... last time I checked. Shop around DealExtreme and see if they have them there.
