Hacking r4 neo acekard???

If you go with an AceKard2i and if you are going to use it on a DSi, the following information may be important to you:


Ysmenu is supposedly Not Safe to put on an AceKard2i
However I believe a few people have got it working with Moonshell and Dsision2(for commercial rom loading)

@N1nt3nd0gam3r: you have been asking questions about the ak2i. i will warn you, do not put this on your ak2i. you WILL probably brick the dsi functionality if you do. i know others who have.

yes. ysmenu has no protection against overwritting the bootloader. akaio and the official firmwares are the only safe alternatives for the ak2i.

If you use AKAIO, you don't need any 'cheat editor,' it's all right there in the OS. Just read the wiki. It should make sense. If not, then...well, you really shouldn't be doing this stuff.

I think I've tried using the r4's cheat editor before and it worked.
However you are not required to edit the database for it to work on the card.
Simply drag and drop to replace your old .dat file.

well he talks about xml and that is confusing 2 me because im used to dat files and the download doesnt have all the games i want

and could u plz be nicer i wasnt asking u to do it for me or any thing but i would like a simplified version of wat he says

im getting the "loading..." problem is there something i did wrong

You mean, when you try to boot the card you're stuck with the 'loading' screen?

download the DAT file from the cheats database

delete the cheat file from your card

replace it with the new one (make sure it's named the same way as your old file)

volia, your cheats are ready

Okay...you should try to back up everything you want to keep (games, saves and such) then use the Panasonic formatter. Then you put the _aio folder and akmenu4.nds in the root of the card.

Okay...then are you sure the SD card is securely in the slot? Sometimes a loose SD card can do that.

blow into the slot. make sure that the SD is in there correctly, or the files in your firmware are correct

Hm, someone else said it was earlier...I was wondering if it really was or not.


Um, when it says 'loading,' is it in big blue letters on a black screen? 'cause that's what the Acekard does.
