Hacking r4 dual core question

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this flashcart ( I know is not a good card BUT there is people that have same issues as me and would like to know if its possible to fix )

is there a way to fix a 2013 r4 dual core card... if running the update firmware file of the "new" r4 dual core card? a lot of people do this simply because they dont read or... idk what.

I was thinking.. what if i get a really old firmware file that will "update" the card back to the version the 2013 card firmware is at ? 5.6 i believe >_<

not sure if i make sense any help would be appreciated

You want the cart swap trick.

1 - Find an older firmware update file for the bricked cart.
2 - Put that update file on a working cart.
3 - Grab an original DS or a DS Lite. No DSi or 3DS, period.
4 - Put the working cart in, start the update program. Do not tell it to update yet.
5 - Take the working cart out.
6 - Put the bricked cart in.
7 - Tell it to apply the update.

Now the problem is finding older firmwares since there no longer on r4isdhc.com

Try adding or changing numbers at the end of URLs, like try downloade2.php or whatever.
