Hacking R4 DS owners roll call

fuck it, Im gonna get one.
this'll be my first DS flash cart, and it sounds good, cant really think of anything that makes me not want to get it.

I blame EB games for not having any of the games I want to buy, so Ive got all this money with nothing to spend it on, well the roms have been out for months and they still don't have the games! well fine, pirate time.

Got my copy today and this is def. the best card as of yet.

Mine arrived today and the games and menu load much faster than the DS-X. If they eliminate the issues with download play then this will be the card to get!

My R4 was shipped yesterday from gameyeeeaaaahhhhh.
My SCDS1 was shipping tuesday from supercardstore.

One thing that has been happening to me is sometimes after I remove my R4 + MicroSD and put them both back in, the DSLite won't detect a card in the slot 1.

I have to remove the R4 and reinsert it a couple of times.
Anyone else have that problem?

Just tried to duplicate that a few times. Didn't see anything, still detected it. :/

After reading info on various sites, I was, just this very evening, considering buying a DS Xtreme card. Before pulling the trigger, I went to the DS-X forums and read a number of posts. One of them mentioned the R4DS and mentioned that this site had an excellent review of the card. So, I came on over, registered, read the review, and immediately bought three of them (one for me, one for my sister, and one for my brother-in-law) from gameyeeeah.com, two 2GB ADATA MicroSD cards and one 1GB ADATA MicroSD card from newegg.com. This is my first handheld system ever, and my first experience with after-market hardware--sure hope everything goes well. Also, from doing a bit of poking around, this looks like an excellent forum; I sure am glad I stumbled across it (thanks to the forum over at DS Xtreme.)

Weird. It's not the MicroSD card because the R4 starts even without one inserted.

I'm new, I came here for reviews. Newegg had a deal on 1gb microSD card for $17 2 days ago. Jumped at that. Now I had to decide between the R4 and the M3 simply. Went with the R4. Just ordered it. Cant wait.

Got two R4s today. My 512mb ADATAs arrived from newegg too. Very good stuff. So much higher quality than DS-X (which I just returned).

One of the blue microsd readers from R4 does not work though. It gives IO error and cannot read from the drive. The other microsd reader works great though.

i just got mine today from modchipstore.com and i must say dhl is a very unreliable delivery service. i wouldnt trust them with delivering large objects, but at least everything in the box was in one piece

Yeah, I'm curious too. DHL is pretty damn awesome in my opinion. Everytime I've shipped/recieved something with them it's always been fast as hell. And if you're referring to the packing itself, it wasn't bad. It came in a DHL Small Padded Pouch which was perfectly fine for the R4. Plus it's modchipstore.com that chooses how it should be packed, not DHL. I'd take DHL over UPS or USPS any day

I got my R4 yesterday but the Micro SD card came later the same day due to some SHIT so I have to wait until monday to get it.
Extremely annoying, and ironic. Still the R4 looks very nice
