Hacking R4 clones are EVERYWHERE!!!!!! HELP!

Ok so I resently buyed an R4 from an untrusted site! I though that it was some guy reselling some old R4's so I went ahead and buyed it, it was a great deal only 19.99 and a 2 for 1 deal! Little did I know about the HUGE world of clones. When I got my "R4" it was very flimsy and the sticker was very badly placed on.
I went to there website downloaded the firware wich at the time I believe it was 4.0.0 and then ran it. It worked great! 7/12 ds roms did not worl for some reason yet they worked on the other r4's I buyed (I buyed 3 from that site for my brothers). Later that week I wanted to play movies and I wanted more themes. The normal R4 themes DID NOT work and instead the only one that did work was an Akard theme I found after hunting for hours. I tryed formattinbg some movies to the R4's instruction with the DS format and it was unreadable! the R4 did not play it, I tryed MoonShell, that didnt even load on it!

After about 3 months, my brother updated my 3DS to the newest version 5.0.0-11 and of corse the R4 didnt work I looked on there website and for about 3 more months it still didnt have an update for it! Almost all the other sdhc R4 websites had an update expect for mine!

I heard that if you formate/reset your 3DS that it downgrades the version... is this true?

If it was a decent R4 it should come from http://www.r4ids.cn/ or from http://www.r4ids.com it also should be using Wood, from what I recall, wood does indeed use acekard themes, so that's normal.

And no... There's no actual way to downgrade your 3DS unless I'm mistaken.

Yep, 3DS can't be downgraded as of the time of writing.

K well guys I copyed it from the Nintendo forums after I posted it also it was white on my end and it really sucks that I cant downgrade!
Is there a wood r4 clone out for 5.0.0 becuase it works with wood for some rerason!

Dude, remove the formating of your text entirely. Now it's black on grey. A Rich-Text-Editor has the odd behaviour to copy the formating of text. If you want to copy text only, switch to the bb code editor.

Anyways, OP, you should fork out a bit more on a DSTwo (assured of it always working with every update) or an R4i 3DS Gold (iirc)
Those are the two cards that are confirmed always working ;]
The R4 I'm a bit uncertain about, so wait for someone else to confirm that.

Other then that, look into a DSTwo ;]

Crown3DS is a fake.
If it was legit then it would be released already.

3DS ROMs can't be played on any DS flashcard.
There is an hybrid one (named Ace3DS iirc something similar) that lets you play only 1 3DS rom (by copying it into NOR or whatever) but meh, just get a DS flashcard for DS games, and wait until the 3DS is fully hacked.

3DS isn't hacked and if it was then Temp would have more threads on how to hack it.

If you got that from youtube or whatever then you can pretty much assume it's fake.
People will do everything to get subscribers on YT.
