EDIT 2: Can confirm it works on PS4 FW 4.07, it gives a message saying: ffff000000000539, and according to the official twitter, that's the message that appears if the exploit is successful

oh dang, i am on the latest fw. (surely this may not mean much for an end user i guess? but still, i think maybe sometime soon in the future the hax/hombrew good stuff will surely first be working on the lower firmwares.)

even though my ps+ subscription ran out and i do not even play anything online with it, but that surely will change when Tekken7 comes out.

but for some reason, i always have prefered Online multiplayer on my wii u over (ps3) and actually even preferin it over the ps4.
2 games i will mention, well firstly SSB4 then there is MarioKart 8 and also splatoon.
SSb4 and MK8 never bored me for some reason, i keep playing these 2 games for over the last 2 years.

with ps3 (it was dead or alive 5/Tekken etc.) but yeah they got boring pretty fast, and i am afraid it could be the same thing with Tekken 7 on ps4. (MortakKombat on ps4 did bore me quite fast..)

well i'll see about updating ps4 further or not, i just hope i won't be forced to buy a 'new' one later on XD

We already had that with the whole Brazilian method thing that came out a while ago. Just keep your PS4 updated and then buy/trade for an older firmware once an actual, beneficial-for-the-end-user exploit comes out.
