As most of you might know (even Osaka
) I've been "working" at an internet cafe for a while now and I've noticed a few things which are weird about my customers.
Firstly, how come they all feel the need to whisper when they want to extend their time? Every single person who runs out of time and needs it extended wave their arms to get my attention and then whisper to me that they want more time... I don't find it annoying, it just seems really weird.
Secondly, people who walk in and leave the door wide open. This annoys the hell out of me and is just plain rude. The door is closed because its freezing outside yet people don't seem to care.
And lastly, general incompetence on a scale which I never expected. It seems that computer illiterate people favour my internet cafe because I get all kinds of people, ranging from those who don't know how to resize a window to people who forget to log off from whatever they're logged into (e-mail, facebook, IM) and then come to me to complain when their account has been vandalized.
I guess the last group of people is to be expected in any kind of service-based job but it can't hurt to hope I won't have to deal with people like that as much as I do...
