I'll be getting a used Wii U soon to try and load back ups on. I'm planning on using the
noob guide to hacking
and downloading browser hacks/wup installer.

So my questions are:
do I need to back up my nand because I won't be installing CBHC?
How big of an sd card/ could I get away with a cheap microsd in a adapter?
Should I install on the internal storage or on a usb, what are the pros/cons?

Thanks for looking at all my super nooby questions

Yes backup the nand. CBHC isn't the only way to brick. Better safe than sorry. Everyone who mode a Wii u should have a nand backup just in case.

I wouldn't go smaller than 64gb

You can install to whichever you want. Some may say this app or this game works better on nand/usb but the only thing ive ever HAD to move somewhere specific is the WUP Installer GX2 channel. I had to put it on USB to make it work

Thanks! But I was reading some people said it saving games onto your internal hdd would risk bricking?

Whoever said that was talking shit. Think about it to brick a system you need to fuck up the system files why would a game save alter any system files Also illegally installed games are exactly the same as ligit games why would Nintendo let you install games internally if there was a brick risk from saving???

Hmm, I must've misread their post, but thanks for the response! But also do you think I could get away with a 32gig sd for backing up the nand? 64 gigs are kinda expensive

No you need a 64gb sd card if you have a 32gb WiiU. The reason being that a 32 gb sd card is never actually 32gb you normally can only use about 30gb of the card and as a 32gb wiiu nand is exactly 32gb its not going to fit on the card.
