Hacking Quick question about hacking CECH2501a

EDIT: So I found this nice seller on modded PS3's, bought one, but it's coming with this weird "Habib" firmware which I've never heard off. Should I change it when I get it or should I just leave it as it is?​

Habib is another firmware by and/or related to Rogero, which you should be familiar with. If it works, why not keep it? I've heard better things about Rebug, which is why I plan on installing it on my PS3, but which is better is subjective.

Here's a very detailed guide from a guy at ps3hax, who also posts here on GBAtemp: http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=55639 It's what I used when making my decision. Seemed pretty clearcut.

Nice! It does seem like Rebug is clearly the superior choice. But it does sound kinda complicated to go from Habib 4.50 to rebug 4.46... I'm kinda of (completely) a PS3 noob. This downgrading thing kinda scares me =(

Habib/Rogero/whatever firmware other then Rebug are just quickly pushed out.

Better to wait for a firmware which is tested more.
Which basically comes down to Rebug

Rebug: Can be installed from XMB on top of 3.55 or lower OFW or any CFW of the same or lower version.

Habib and Rogero are often hybrid CFW. That means it mix some files from previous OFW. They showed up faster than Rebug.

Rebug is built from scratch from the same version, and is more stable than other two. Use Rebug whenever possible.
