Misc Quick NNID unlinking question.

Alrighty so I just got a new Wii U and I had my NNID tied to my brothers... which broke. I called Nintendo to unlink it like 20 minutes ago but they said it would take like 5 days to process (Nintendo, why do you make everything so complicated for everyone?). So I was wondering if I make a NNID to play online in the meanwhile then when I get mine back and link it to that one will I lose all the progress I accumulated with the temporal one?
