Thanks, its working now!
First, make sure you're using this version of usbloadergx.

Are you using a usb flash drive, external hdd or an sd card to launch the game?
Is it formatted as Fat32 32kb cluster size? And is it plugged in port 0?
Also, check the hash of the game in WiiBackupManager, to make sure the wbfs file is not corrupt.

ModMii is itself a tutorial, if you need more help, watch this youtube video

My Wii has 4.2J os, HBC and PriiLoader installed. I try many times to remod it using Modmii, but still got message "c IOSPAGETTI (Cios infected) IOS detected" in the step 4 "Install and Configure Priiloader". I also copy ACME to the SD card and see that the chosen language is Japan. I have no idea what to do to got the English interface. Could you please give me some advices? Thanks alot.

Last edited by sirPollux,
I installed the Homebrew Channel on my Wii, and formatted the SD card to NTFS/FAT32, but neither seem to work?

I loaded it up with apps and game backups. I'm too exhausted to boot up the Wii, will do later.

What's the prob? Can I use NTFS than FAT32 at all?

Thanks.

I have an SD Memory Card connected to my Wii and tried saving MK DD save game, but it wouldn't. Do I need to format it in a specific manner?

Is there still no way to uninstall Wii mods and revert a Wii to stock firmware? I asked about this before and it didn't seem that way.

Alternatively, is it possible to launch USB Loader GX on stock firmware, i.e. via Letterbomb or some other exploit? I've definitely run Newer Super Mario Bros Wii via Letterbomb in the past, so I know it's absolutely possible to do some things, but does that include USB Loader GX? I'm intrigued by this recent news of disabling the deflicker filter.

I think it's possible, but like with the 3ds, there are risks.

There is a way to "virginize" but it's generally not worth the risk, better to remove all visible traces of a softmod. If you want to pursue the virginization, the cleanest way possible is to use ohneschwanzenegger

You can launch some form of neek to play backups on virgin consoles, use ModMii's Abstinence Wizard to help you set this up.

Thank you. Those are definitely interesting names.

But my goal is not to run backups (at least, not at the moment); my goal is to disable the deflicker filter, and apparently USB Loader GX is the only way to do that – and apparently, as per the video, it can still launch software off discs. If I set up an emuNAND with the Abstinence Wizard, will USB Loader GX work?

But why not just fully softmod. Launch GX and play your games via gx. Why the desire to virginize?
It's not so hard to understand, is it? It is wonderful to know that at any time I can be Completely Done With Homebrew Forever And Ever and not have to worry about trying to explain some unexpected problem on a message board somewhere because something did not behave as expected. And likewise, it might be nice to help others who are interested without having to worry about providing them with technical support for the rest of my life.

Like, what is neek? Do I need to know what neek is? (Do I have to carry around this information for the rest of my life..?)

He meant, you'll have to try for yourself and see!

Neek is a form (most stable one, I guess) of emunand. UsbloaderGX does not work very well with it, it seems. If you want to know if your very specific usecase will work, then try for yourself.

If you only want disable the deflicker filter (and possibly, other force video settings) and still launch your physical discs, usbloaderGX can mount disc just fine with the disc symbol option on the corner, then change video settings that you want. Don't need to use emunand.

Yes, I understood that from the video, as I said. But you can't just launch USB Loader GX direct from Letterbomb, can you?

Sure, but it won't do you much good if you haven't installed cios's for it to use

You are trying to take half measures that are actually making things more complicated

You can softmod your wii as per normal, and if it's ever too much, you can stop using homebrew, and/or remove visible traces of mods like channels

Well, it doesn't have to do much good; it just has to let me access the disc with USB Loader GX.

If I need cIOS, will that run from an emuNAND?

But then it will still be sitting there as an additional complication to worry about in the future.
