Right, here's my problem.

I've downloaded WBFS Manager 3.0. The rest of my Wii is most likely all set to go. Trouble is, I keep getting an error on my comp whenever I try to run WBFS. That is, until a hacker friend of mine had me replace a couple files on my comp. I don't get the error anymore, it just simply goes to the traditional "send error report to microsoft" thing. :/

I'm suspecting the reason why it won't load is because of a very major crash my comp had awhile back. As for the error, I'd copy and paste it here if I had a copy of what the text says. I unfortunately don't and I've forgotten what it says myself.

Also, to save posting space, I'm also having trouble modding my PS2 for nearly the same reason. I keep getting the same error over and over whenever I try to run the Memor32 Savegame Manager. The error says the following:

"The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\DX8VB.DLL is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."

Being dumb as a mule with computers, I have no idea what this means. My guess it that it's also attributed to my comp's crash and something somewhere got either left out of the recovery process or corrupted or something else that I can't even fathom.

For my Wii, I could prolly use some other program to make partitions on the (external) hard drive, but I've heard that WBFS Manager is the best out of all of them and the one that's the least "dangerous". Truth be told, I don't even know what a partition IS, but I'm rolling with it and following the instructions like a good little n00b.

Well, that's all I can think of that might help you help me. I'm running Windows XP, by the way. Don't know if that matters, but I can never know.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT:

I've gotten my Memor32 Savegame Manager to work, thanks to the aformentioned hacker. Disregard what I said about it. All I need are some dvds and I'll get straight to burnin'.

Try right clicking on the wbfs manager and run it as administrator. Also if i was you i would use wii backup manager instead.A lot more features then wbfs manager has and its easier to use and doesn't lock up like wbfs manager does.

Couple of questions:

1) Can games from the Virtual Console be played in a different region than your wii?
ex: Super mario rpg PAL can be played on a US wii?

2) I have a 4.2U wii, Do I install trucha bug from this link:
http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/hacking-guide/trucha
then Waninkokos cIOS (249 and 250):
http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/cios/waninkoko
then Hermes cIOS (202, 222 and 223):
http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/cios/hermes-cios

all in order?

Just follow xzxeros guide for making sure your wii is set up right. It's at the top of the wii hacking forum.

For other region vc/ww games i think it's possible but you need a region free hack in order for it to work.So look into getting priiloader and using
the hacks that comes with it to do what your talking about.

Try using a different ios to install it.

Also are you installing it with the cios installer or using wad manager to install a wad of cios 17?

If I scrub a game can I put it on a 4 gig SD card? It still says it's the regular size when it scrubs it so I'm thinking no.

You will need some kind of program to transfer it to the sd card and it should scrub it down for you so it fits.

I would use wiibackup manager.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. If I get stuck, can I Private Message you? It'll save the boards from my moaning and groaning over this matter.

I'm using a CIOS installer, I'm not entirely sure how I would go about using a wad manager. I've pretty much just got my homebrew channel installed, and that's about it.

Well, there's your problem: you haven't done anything past installing the HBC. You need to restore the trucha bug to an IOS.

use CRAP instead of loadstructor

loadstructor can only load games off of a wbfs partition, and it uses its own built in loader (cloader I believe). So each channel has a loader built into it.

I know, and since It can use different loaders I want to know how I can use the updated versions of those loaders

Is there a program that'll put backup games directly into channels so's I don't have to go into the HBC/USB Loader GX every time I want to play one?

Edit: Or will the above advice also work for this?

Edit again: Never mind, sorted it out myself.

Hi, i need a quick help and i hope this is the right place to get it.

I currently have neogama as a channel on my sister doughtier wii, but it only loads on game at a time.

I know that there are other loaders that can load several games at a time from a external HDD, can anyone tel me which one? I've looked at them but im still confused.

I'm sorry to ask and not looking for it myself but im going home soon and dont have much time and after reading about them im still confused.

If anyone could help i will appreciate it.

Also to install it do i need to uninstall neogama as a channel first?

Again thanks!

Is their such thing as a universal ios that plays all games on on any loader or back-up loader or atleast something that updates ios so games work. Is their other homebrews that allow you to pick an ios from a list and noob proof.
