Right, here's my problem.
I've downloaded WBFS Manager 3.0. The rest of my Wii is most likely all set to go. Trouble is, I keep getting an error on my comp whenever I try to run WBFS. That is, until a hacker friend of mine had me replace a couple files on my comp. I don't get the error anymore, it just simply goes to the traditional "send error report to microsoft" thing. :/
I'm suspecting the reason why it won't load is because of a very major crash my comp had awhile back. As for the error, I'd copy and paste it here if I had a copy of what the text says. I unfortunately don't and I've forgotten what it says myself.
Also, to save posting space, I'm also having trouble modding my PS2 for nearly the same reason. I keep getting the same error over and over whenever I try to run the Memor32 Savegame Manager. The error says the following:
"The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\DX8VB.DLL is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."
Being dumb as a mule with computers, I have no idea what this means. My guess it that it's also attributed to my comp's crash and something somewhere got either left out of the recovery process or corrupted or something else that I can't even fathom.
For my Wii, I could prolly use some other program to make partitions on the (external) hard drive, but I've heard that WBFS Manager is the best out of all of them and the one that's the least "dangerous". Truth be told, I don't even know what a partition IS, but I'm rolling with it and following the instructions like a good little n00b.
Well, that's all I can think of that might help you help me. I'm running Windows XP, by the way. Don't know if that matters, but I can never know.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT:
I've gotten my Memor32 Savegame Manager to work, thanks to the aformentioned hacker. Disregard what I said about it. All I need are some dvds and I'll get straight to burnin'.
