Uuuuhhhh yeah so I have this Wii for 2 years, I kinda modded it last year by adding the Homebrew Channel through the str2hax method, but all I have is just the channel, there's like nothing in there and I don't know where to go after this because I'm scared I might brick it and I don't think I have Bootmii

Having trouble assigning cover art on the wiistation/wiisxrx emulator (version 3.2). I have experience in doing this for most emulators so Ive made sure everything is placed in its proper location on the sd card and have met the format requirements including size and naming conventions. According to my research, it is supposed to automatically detect said image file. I have tried placing the 'covers' folder in apps/wiistation as well as the wiisxrx on the route of the sd to no avail. Could there be a setting within the emulator itself that i am missing?
Hello! I just modded my Wii for the first time with the intent of playing Rockband. I have all of the instruments, Wiiflow Lite installed, and I can get the game running (from an SD card). Whenever I use WiiFlow it fully disables the USB ports on my WII.
I've done a little bit of reading and I've seen some stuff about older Hermes cIOS installers, but everything I've seen says that USB functionality should be okay with what I've installed. Is there anyone with tips on what I could test out to get a guitar, drums, and mic working with WiiFlow Lite?
Have u tried different cios's? In the game settings it's either auto or 249 by default, try 249, 250, 251, 252
You can always install hermes cios (easily retrieved in wad form from Modmii's download page 4) and set the game ios to use one of hermes old cios's, but as u said it should not be necessary

Sometimes when I exit Mgba it returns to USB loader Gx which is what I want. Sometimes it exits to homebrew channel which is not what I want.
I have it set within USB loader to "return to USB loader" in the individual channel settings. Is there a reliable way to ensure Mgba exits to USB loader? Snes9x Tx and the nes counter part have a dedicated setting within their emulator to enable this setting. Is there an ini file edit I can do to ensure the same behavior occurs with Mgba? (If there is I couldn't find it)Thanks in advanced.
Everything has been working on my Wii for the past few months after following the instructions on the wii.hacks.guide tutorials, but now I cannot successfully load the Wii system menu and I cannot launch any games through USB Loader Gx. Whenever I attempt to do either thing, the Wii just hangs on a pure black screen. I can get into Priiloader and use that to access the homebrew channel and other apps, but launching games and accessing the system menu just doesn't work. Any ideas would be really appreciated.

One thing I noticed that may be nothing is that the wifi symbol flashes continuously on the Homebrew Channel.

Do you have a nand backup did the problem happen out of nowhere or did you mess with something either way if its not a hardware issue then as a last resort you can use this https://wiibrew.org/wiki/Ohneschwanzenegger it works i have used it before but it will wipe out priiloader and make your wii a unmodded virgin.

Looking at the process to create a nand backup, I don't believe I do have one.
This seemingly happened out of nowhere after the Wii had been in standby (orange light) for a few days without being used. I hadn't made any changes and no one else in my house would know how to, so I'm pretty certain nothing changed. I'm guessing that means it is most likely a hardware issue of some sort then?
I'll take a look at that tool and keep in mind that it should be considered a last resort. Thanks!

No, BootMii.
Drag and drop the generated syscheck file into ModMii and it'll tell you what to do to install BootMii. you should be able to install it since you can still access Priiloader and hbc.
As for your issue, i'd start by checking the sd card for errors with h2testw, copy the contents of the sdcard to your pc, empty the sd then run h2testw with the "read & write" setting. It'll tell you if it's good to use or if it's faulty/fake.
If it passes the test, copy back hbc/priiloader/bootmii/latest usbloadergx and test again.
Im not saying it's the one that's prevent you from accessing the home menu etc. but it's crucial to start with the sd check before you start backing up/ restoring nand backups etc.

if going this far, maybe it'd be a good idea to do run fsc/chkdsk or fsck(linux) etc, any file system check/repair.
if anything in the file system becomes corrupt it may not be able to locate the data in the cluster and I recently had this happen with a single app folder on the SD. A good indication is when trying to make changes to a file like renaming or dating, it will automatically revert because it can't actually locate the data to make the changes.
(I'm a newbie though, much to learn, just an idea)

Alright so, I have a Wii which I modded way back in 2011 using Letterbomb, today I bought 2 cheap "untested" Wiis which both work although one of the drives is dead, but saw modding is even easier now with modmii installer, so thats good.
Anyway I've read a few conflicting answers but, if I remove the disc drive but keep the controller board or whatever hooked up so it doesn't actually know the drive is missing, this works fine right? Apparently some games still do "checks" or whatever to see if its there or not and potentially lockup? I plan to do shell swaps because they're not in the best condition, and while I'm opening it was just wondering about this.
Secondly, did Priiloader remove the option for the "480p fix"? Because I'm not seeing it on the latest version (0.10)?
