There's been no real progress except for what neimod has done with his RAM patcher.

You answered and asked your question at the same time.

If there's news, you will know. All you can be sure of is a CFW will not be available for at least another full year, assuming the soonest date for the community actually happens.

Those attempting to hack the 3ds aren't just gonna put up a blog or something with their status or lack thereof. Exploits don't just pop up overnight so they don't want nintendo to patch any that may be out there before they get whatever they're trying to get working, working because if they find an expoit and nintendo patches it, they may not find another for a long, long time.

So just sit tight and once someone releases something related to hacking the 3ds, chances are it'll be all over forums.

I always knew the Crown3DS is fake.
I've seen a lot more complex 3DS Hacks (hardware and/or software), so why would a complex 3DS Capture Board be done so quickly, while a simple Flash Card takes ages to process?
Plus, there are 3DS ROMs, 3DS Hacking Tools, 3DS Documentations, etc. available, how could this not help on their development?

... the clone is simple, a flash cart is relatively complex.

DS flash carts are so prevalent because it's technology for use with a device released in 2004, and the designs have already been copied and sold for years. The original development of them, however, took a while and they were initially much more expensive than they are now. Ask some of the older members, they paid $100 or so. Hell, look at flash carts for the SNES and such (or other systems where it's not prevalent). Finding one for $30 with decent compatibility would be a steal.

True, my first Flash Card ever, the Supercard SD (and SuperPass II) were over € 100,- in total, including shipping.
And I've only bought it to play Mario Kart DS Hacks, and make them.
Good times.

I'm not talking about the SCDS, I'm talking about the SCSD.
You know, like in "SD Card", not as in "Nintendo DS".
It wasn't much of the trouble on the Nintendo DS Phat, but it was on the DS Lite.
Just rate it yourself.

Note: GBASP's GBA Slot is as deep as DS Phat's.

The same Flash Card in the DS Lite.

And together with DS Lite's protection thingy, and Pokémon Emerald.

yeah even the n64 clone flash cart is like 200$ still and there is one for genesis from ukraine that is likw 100$ that takes sd card
