So my main problem I've been having is I've found cia's of firmware spoofed games and such and oher things that should work, but they just get stuck on the 3ds loading screen. Why is this? One example is a rom hack of a gba pokemon game. I read that you have to install it on emunand and sysnand for it to work, and I have. Others shouldn't be having problems either that I'm aware of, but they don't load.

I am on O3ds fw 9.0.0-20u with rxtools cfw

RxTools doesn't require installing patched agb_firm, I didn't install it and I can run GBA games just fine (with game installed on both sysnand and emunand). Maybe you are using some older version?

If you're on o3ds just update the emunand to 10.3, it'll probably fix those loading issues, at least it did for me.

Literally go to settings, check the version to make sure that you are on emunand and update the 3ds like you normally would. Only the emunand will be updated and you'll keep all your saves, installed games and also the ability to install cia's

So it's safe to update now? The latest version is still 10.3 right?
You can always update on an old 3DS usong rxtools (sometimes gateway's Select menu stops working on firmware updates but rxtools doesn't have a select menu so it's fine). To be extra safe make a backup of your emuNAND before updating using emuNAND tool, and if something stops working you can reinject your backup.

Okay. I'm using rxtools and have an O3DS and my emuNAND is currently on 9.2. I want to update to get eshop access because I need to update smash bros, and for some reason the update patch I downloaded online isn't working for it.

Yep you can update. Just two things, first do not exit system settings before updating (exiting system settings resets your console, kicking you to sysNAND), and check the firmware string says RX-E or similar (not Ver.).

Okay, well I have menuhax set to boot whenever my 3DS turns on or reboots so I'm pretty sure I won't get kicked into sysNAND lol.

Okay so I tried updating but it gave me an error and says the system will now restart. What do I do?

Thanks! This made them work! Except the gba game...

Anyone know how to fix this for the gba games?
