Hi everyone, I'm having a small problem with my Wii U, which I hacked in 2017 using the Haxchi method. Currently, I have to hold down ‘A’ to enter the Homebrew Channel. I hadn't used the console for years—I can't remember exactly how long, but probably many years. In 2025, I restarted the console to launch a game, and everything was still working fine, although it took me a while to remember some of the functions. In any case, my version of SaveMii was working, and I could continue to manage my saves. Then, after leaving the console unused for a few months, I resumed my game, but this time, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get SaveMii to work. I fear that a pending file may have been installed in 2025 or something like that. I don't remember what firmware my console had, but currently I'm on 5.5.5 E according to the console menu. Logically, I tried to find a more recent version of SaveMii, but the tool now seems to be looking for dependencies or something that can be found on more recent hacks, maybe. I don't know, I'm a little lost, and I thought this forum would be the place where someone could explain to me exactly how to solve this problem.

I guess your app is outdated. You should move from haxchi to aroma. Just look at the wii u hacking guide here how to do that safely

If you want support, update to the latest hack method. Hacks Guide has instructions for that, and do not skip the Before Starting/If you have an existing legacy CFW setup section.

Good luck relying on an LLM to help you, my guess is that you will be left with a brick and would need to use an exploit like UDPIH or Paid the Beak, and then go back to the instructions I linked above.

I can't stress enough that relying on outdated exploits is a bad idea. Switch to Aroma once and you will be set for the times to come. It is leaps and bounds more stable and easier to use.
