Hacking [Question] Sky3DS Template File

I've been reading some previous posts here about generating your own template file but I just can't seem to grasp the right answer.

Well for starters, what are the tools that I would need to get the information out of the 3DS ROM? I found Fola's Sky3DSTemplateMaker, but I can't figure out how to use it. I want to play Fantasy Life (U) on my Sky3DS so I'm trying to figure things out. Thanks in advance

Just download the Template files from the Sky3DS website. They are already made and include 99% of the 3ds Library.

Really? I can't seem to DiskWrite Fantasy Life (U), which is a clean rom. Into my SDCARD. I'm using their latest template file and I still get the "There are no available header information..." error?

That's odd, Fantasy life is a supported game. Where did you get your rom? (Don't link it)

It's from a torrent from a "kick ass" torrent site. I checked it to be a clean rom, matched the CRC32, and other header information on Advanscene. Can you tell me which template file you're using? I'm using the template0121.txt file. or the latest they have on the downloads page.

Try downloading the rom from roms43 and try again with the latest template file. I use the latest one and it works perfectly fine.

Let me clarify, are you using the US version of Fantasy Life? and also, if you don't mind. Can you paste the Template Information of Fantasy Life (U) here? Thanks

Yes, the U.S version. Also, I don't know the code identifying fantasy life in the header so I don't know how to find it.

I don't know what I did here mrolive, but somehow I'm able to write Fantasy Life without problem anymore. I think there's a bug on the DiskWriter that it remembers the past template file you used even though you updated the template file.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to rely on Sky3DS' updates on the template files
