Hardware Question for Playstation 3 CECHE01 Model

I recently replaced the motherboard on a PS3 fat model that I bought off of ebay and have run into an issue with the blu-ray drive not reading discs (apparently the PSN store won’t open either if the BD drive doesn’t work as well). I’m wondering if I should replace the laser unit or the whole BD drive itself

sorry for the late response but i've downgraded it to 3.55 with rebug and i'm trying to get the console into factory service mode. do you know how to get it into fsm without the dongle?

Use xmb firmware tools on rebug firmware
