Hacking [Question] Does Gateway Ultra work with 2DS?

I've been on the side of Ninjhax for a bit, but as the time passes, there is a slight fear in my stomach about not being able to play the latest games. I've decided to look into Gateway, despite the cartridges being outrageously priced. From what I have collected, the newest release of Gateway has a few abilities. It allows you to downgrade to 4.5, run a emuNAND of newer firmwares, install .CIAs, and even play back-ups. Now, all of this seems too good to be true for my little 2DS, because I believe that the 2DS shipped around the time of 6.0 firmware, so I'm skeptical of my ability to downgrade.

My questions are:
• Does my 2DS support Gateway?
• Does my 2DS support downgrading?
• What all can I do if it does?
• What all can I do if it does not support downgrading?
• If it does not support Gateway, is there other carts it can?
• What can these carts do?

Yes it supports Gateway as long as you are not pass 9.2FW.
I don´t think you can downgrade or should since your console shipped with 6.x. But search the site for that.
You can always use the Browser exploit, you can use Emunand and everything on it.

Only if you have gateway card

Yes, although emulators for the 3DS are sparse and at the beginning stages of development.

I'm all for waiting, and I am a developer, anyway. Now, I keep seeing topics popping up here about MT DS Carts being able to do things similar to this. Could I get one of those, and run emuNAND from it, seeing as how I can not downgrade. Mind you, I am on sysNAND firmware 8.1.

Go exploit is only for Gateway and smea's regionthree, so you can't, mt ds's launcher is 4.5 only(for now)

You must update it with a game like nsmb2, because it's only compatible with 4.1/4.5 FWs

Eh, if I'd have to go through all that trouble, I'd may as well just purchase a legitimate Gateway for my device.

But Gateway is expensive, and some of that games are very cheap
