Hacking Question About The New DSi XL

It's coming out here in the states on March 28th, I have already pre ordered it with Amazon.com..I just wanted to know if it will be coming with firmware 1.5 or am I safe to assume that since the DSi XL that is already available in Europe has 1.4, that the American version will have 1.4 too? I know, silly question, but if anyone knows the answer I would really appreciate it since I the updated AceKard 2i with the 1.4 fix already included so I am looking forward to this release. Thanks so much!

I would also like to know, but unless someone works for Nintendo ( and there could be probably a few lurking in these forums ) , how are we supposed to know ?
Every answer would be speculation at this point......let's just hope it stays at 1.4 .

That's what I'm hoping, that it stays at 1.4. I dont see why they would give us firmware 1.5 and not give the same for the European version, like they get deprived the new firmware and we don't, so that makes no sense. I just hope it stays at firmware 1.4 because I want to be able to play my games on a bigger screen, I have been looking forward to this system release since I heard about it

If there's none out yet then there's no way anybody knows the answer because you'd have to have one.

You can't pirate a game system and have it spread across the planet.

If 1.5 doesn't come out before the US DSi XL, I'm almost 99% positive it won't come with a new firmware like 1.5.

Also some people get these consoles early for review (or because stores break release dates), so chances are you'll know a couple days before.

Oh Ok cool, so if like a week before its released, a new firmware is not released, then it will be firmware 1.4 then..good, lets hope it stays 1.4..it would suck for the flash cards not to be able to work because of some update

What do you mean the hardware is already packed? Yeah I should get a uk dsi xl but isn't it more expensive then the US release one..or is it?

189 US..what did you mean when you said it doesnt matter, the hardware is already packed?

It means that the DSi XL's are most likely already in their boxes being shipped to the US, so even if a newer firmware version came out they're not going to go take every one already made out of the warehouses and stuff in order to update them.

Yeah, both the European and Japanese ones both have 1.4 so I guess its safe to assume the US version won't be any different. Thanks..I can't wait to get it

BTW, the website I got that pic from had said that the DSi XL's screen is more colorful. As you can see, the DSlite's screens are slightly discolored.

I know we have another week or so to go before its available here but does anyone have any further info about which firmware the new DSi XL will have? When do stores usually get the system? Don't they get them a week early, maybe someone working at one of these electronic stores can take a peek inside and tell us what firmware it comes with
