Gaming Question about the EON Ticket

Hi! my question is:

If i have the game and streetpass on it is activated, can i get the eon ticket from a stranger on Nintendo Zone who already have it?

The Nintendo Zone streetpass feature that lets you get streetpass tags with the people who passed by that location before you?
I see no reason for it not to work, since those are the same as actually streetpassing other people.

That being said, it would probably be possibly to spread the ticket around via HomePass.
