Hello community,

I am a bit new to 3ds homebrew and stuff so i have a couple of questions.

I have firmware 10.7 and homebrew running with menuhax manager. (i used browserhax to get into the homebrew channel)

I want to play mk7 online but it keeps telling me to update, now my first question to you guys is, how do i play online and keep my homebrew channel. Is there like a tool i can use that bypasses the update or anything?

Also my second question is about hacking mk7.

I would love to get item hacks in mk7 but i just don't know how to get them. One thing i would like to have is the extend vr limit. How do i get that, is it even possible for me to have or is this private?

I am a bit sorry if i am beying a bit noobish but i just want to know if i could do these things, if you guys would help me out i would really like it! (i have also tried out ctgp7 great job and the custom tracks look really nice!)

ctr-httpwn bypasses most of that afaik, but since you are on 10.7, you are better off just downgrading. Follow this guide to part 4 section 2~ (the last step should involve setting up fbi over health and safety but before formatting and whatnot) https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/ If you feel like it however, you can go on to the end which will help you setup arm9loaderhax. This is a cfw entrypoint which has an extremely low chance of being patched out (sorta like bootmii for the wii, except there aren't exceptions). If you choose to not do this, you will end up with cfw through menuhax and have an updated emunand with a cia installer.

edit: regarding hacking mk7, you are able to do it with homebrew, but having cfw will make it a lot easier (since you can run cheats through ntr cfw, although offline only).

There"s two ways, installing lastest Friend List from your region or using ctr-httpwn.
I think you should use ctr-httpwn, for use it is included in the starter pack, you run it and then press Start and press X to return to Home Menu, unless you are using sdiconhax that can"t do that, since you are using MenuHax in 10.7.0-x you should be using sdiconhax so you need to launch the game from Hans instead unless you can use another Homebrew Entry point (with the exception of Original 3DS model you can"t use it properly from Original 3DS browser so don"t use it from BrowserHax if you have an Original 3DS model).

i tried your sdiconhax, what do i have to do in hans? do i have to enable any options?

No, first run MenuHax, in Menuhax run ctr-httpwn when it finish to run you should press Start to return to the Homebrew Launcher, here go to Hans and run Mario Kart 7 from it and don"t enable any option and you should be able to play it online, note that you need to run ctr-httpwn everytime you want to use online features that throw you a System Update error.

Do you have any tutorials or ideas on how i could hack? also is the vr extend limit possible?

Thanks, do you have any CFW i could use? or a download link / topic to it?
That guide has everything you need. I recommend using Luma3DS with either menuhax (easy) or A9LH (time-consuming to setup but better).

I also need to install bigbluemenu but fbi won't let me install it. anyone have any idea on how to do it?

Are you running into a specific error? Are you following the guide?

No i didn't get a tutorial i just got the cia for bigbluemenu and i don't know how to install it ;p the

result error code is: 0xD8E0806A
desc: cert signature or hash check failed (106)

Have you installed CFW like Luma3DS? It sounds like you haven't. If you don't, signature patching won't be enabled, and you won't be able to install any illegitimate CIA.

You can't get items hack with homebrew and the extend vr limit hack is private
