Hacking Question about ez-flash vi?

Hi, 1 week ago i played normal with my ez flash vi... today i looked and i cant do anything, it freezes in the boot page and the 2 screens in black...

my question is if i have to update the firmware to 101 (i dont know what firmware it has alredy) or only update the kernel to 3.0 open beta 2 (dont remember what kernel i had)??

PD: I have a ds lite, NO dsi or dsi xl.....

EDIT: i tested the open beta 2 and it says that it is not for my flashcard

EDIT 1: plz help me.... i put the kernel rc17 and it freezes... my flashcard is bricked or what??
 
PLease, someone im deseperated to play pokemon black & white, i have already the patches and all.... and i dont want to play in the emulator DESMUME... f***
 
EDIT: I didn't realize your EZ Flash vi was not working at all.
I thought you couldn't get pokemon black/white to work with it.

Sounds like something is set up wrong on your SD. I'd back up your saves and format the SD and start w/ a clean install of the RC17 files. If this fixes the problem then my advice to you is the next time you update the kernel make sure you get rid of the all the old files before you install the new ones, just writing them to the SD will leave old invalid files on your SD and is likely the cause of your problems.
