Hacking Question about error message "Invalid NCA"

I hacked my switch yesterday using a guide I found on Reddit and using Atmosphere as my CFW. I was able to install most of the games I wanted but when I try to install Fire Emblem: Three Houses, I get an error code that says "Invalid NCA (might mean missing sigpatches or a too low firmware) (4518)". AFAIK, I have the most recent sigpatches and I've tried 3 different nsp files using Gold Leaf. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what the issue might be? Thanks.

What firmware are you? Some games might require you to be on 8.1.0 which is the latest firmware.

I have the same setup as you but I have no issues installing it using goldleaf/goldtree combo. Maybe try using tinfoil by blawar.

Well here's an update. My friend and I also got the error of invalid nca on grandia hd but we solved it by using an old ver of goldleaf which was 0.5. Maybe try that if it will work for you.

Had the same error but with all the games I tried to install with goldleaf. Using another usb cable solved the problem for me

I was able to solve the issue from a comment on Reddit. Can't post links because I'm a new member so here's the comment:

I see you have resolved this already. Putting what I found out for future readers:

If you're using the latest Kosmos release and the sigpatches they linked, launch the CFW via hekate: Launch > CFW (SYSNAND) or CFW (EMUMMC) depending on your usage, since the hekate config for these two profiles includes the argument kip1patch=nosigchk to enable the sigpatches. If you launch via Payloads > fusee-primary.bin then that argument is not loaded.

There's no need to manually add the line to the config file unless you want all atmosphere payloads launched via hekate to load with that argument.

I don't know enough about this so please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the sigpatches linked in the kosmos release moved the sd:/atmosphere/kip_patches/fs_patchesso they're only loaded when launching with the kip1patch=nosigchk argument instead of automatically.

Hope this helps anyone else who had this issue.

Okay can someone explain to me.. I've gotten the same issue, finally resolved it.. Using the fuse but when I did my install the hekate ctcaer 5.1.1 is what boots.. So I have to tell it to boot fuse bin from the payload file.. How can I tell hekate to boot that file when I hit launch?
