So i've asked this question before or a similarity of it, but it was kind of bundled with asking about some other stuff as well and probably got lost in all that.

So, I want to update my Wii U to the final update, since i heard it makes the e-shop a little easier to use. I currently have a pretty solid CBHC setup and have been using the DNS blocking method for updates.

My main question is do I need to do anything with the CBHC before allowing the update to install? I remember with the Privacy update when that happened for EU peeps, it was just some text and stuff and didn't require any major refreshes of homebrew after the installation, at least if i'm remembering correctly. So does this update change anything? will i need to reinitialize the CBHC via accessing the homebrew channel with the browser exploit or something after i let the installation go through? will it mess with anything in general?

I can follow guides and instruction sets pretty reliably, but small details like this i do want to have ironed out before i do something that screws stuff up ^^;; so Thank you for any advice or reassurances that are offered ^_^

What is your actual Version please ? The latest Version v5.5.4 is only for EU Consoles.:)

I actually don't remember how to skip the autoboot to check that ^^;; i know i let it update for the initial privacy text blurb update the did a while back, so if i had to just guess i'd say 5.5.3. it's an NA wii U, but the update was still a thing for them even if the majority of it was for the EU privacy stuff.

If what Lacius said is right, i'm willing to just set the DNS stuff to auto and see if it updates. i'm assuming if something gets knocked off, i can just refollow the steps to setup haxchi and Coldboot if needed. i know people say the whole mocha and activating as needed thing is easier, but my goal with it was setting it up so everything pretty much worked and i could load games and injects as desired without making any heavy backend changes. not needing to remember to activate something helps with that overall ^^;;

also sorry for the slowness to respond. busy day yesterday ^^;; my apologies

Yes,of Course.:)

And also your "Decision" to further use ColdBoot Haxchi.
So I do not think your Wii U will do some Update because it is already on the latest Version.:)
And also that nothing will happen to your CBHC.

Good Luck
Thank you.:)
