Open Checkpoint
Select Pokemon Shuffle > Backup
Open PSSE
SD card > Id0 > Id01 > Title > 00040000 > 00141000 > data... SAV FILE DOES NOT SHOW IN PSSE!

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Checkpoint should create a folder that the decrypted save is in. You are not going to be going thru the Id0's at all.

So, as you can see I made a lot of progress on PSSE. It now has the basics functions to handle UX stages, but I have yet to implement it correctly in the editor (I had to manually fix my save after editing it with PSSE to take the pics above). I uploaded the commits on github so if you want to test it you can compile it from there, but be warned that it is in an extremely buggy/alpha++ state. I myself won't be able to work on it this WE, so don't expect a release until at least mid/end of next week.

Probably in StageDataEvent.bin. This file is divided into one or more chuncks per event level, and though I have managed to properly read it each of them contains two 6 or 8-bytes long regions that I strongly suspect to be dates (because the absolute difference between those numbers often corresponds to 1 or 2 weeks worth of seconds, always matching the announced availability period). I haven't digged in this for a while so that's basically all I remember for now, I'd have to work again on it if you need more informations.

I don't know if you are still working on this editor, but I would be interested in the option to edit the event stages to add in new stages or change existing ones. Perhaps this would be better off as an separate editing program rather than included in the PSSE editor.

The reason I'm interested in editing the event stages is to add in the old Escalation Battle stages that were discontinued (such as Mew and Celebi) back into the event stage rotation to see how they would fare against the current roster of available Pokemon. A stage event editor would need to have the ability to create new stages, including the stage's HP and disruption patterns (among many other details).

Hi,
I haven't worked on this in years, sorry. Theoretically, editing StageData files is possible (I remember seeing some PoC when this game was hyped), but I have no idea how to do that anymore.

err...hello.
sorry if this is necroing something that is just considered too old at this point......buuuut, does the save file editing still theoretically work for at least the coins and items? and if so is there a clear listed guide somewhere for what programs to use to extract the save and set it up properly? i think the 3ds version is up to version 1.5.7 at this point but i'm no programmer so i really don't know if that means anything major has changed that makes the edits no longer viable, even if you deal with the "secret value" thing properly

just still messing around with stuff on the system ages after everyone else and figured i'd ask....hope it's not too much issue.

This is basically just a windows .rar file. You would use jksm or checkpoint to extract savedata.bin. put it on a easy to find pc path. select save when it asks in the editor and do what ya want.

right, but is there anything specific that needs doing after extracting the file and using the editor on it? I've got checkpoint (had to check, hate that the icon doesn't have the name on it) and figured that part out. but is there anything to be aware of when re-importing the modified file?

Question, does this still work with Shuffle's latest version, seeing as the original post was from seven years ago and the last update was for 1.5.7 compatibility I'm not sure if it will, and I don't want to risk getting my save data messed up without being sure.

I'm afraid I can't answer if it supports the latest version as I've never used this, however if you want to give it a try you can always make a backup of your save in Checkpoint and if something goes wrong restore that.

Thanks, after trying it it does work on 1.5.11, so that’s good.

hi, this past days was announced that the game servers will close. Is there any way to insert past events on the game, or work to make it possible? so when the servers closes the game can be fully playable by anyone no matters when downloaded the game

Hi! Do you think it could be possible to do something in order to save special week events now that in the near future, Shuffle will go offline forever? I'd love to play this, but without special events it would be useless

I'm currently nearing completion on an extdata preservation patch, won't be out in time for shutdown most likely as I was initially hoping, but its getting pretty close to complete.

Can I ask you how many weeks did you got to preserve?

I've ported all extdata to the base game. So technically its the same preservation that the game would have if you didn't change the clock afterward, I have figured out which values in the save data are responsible for the lockout from changing the time of the system, and changing them to 0 and nullifying the time offset on your console would restore access. I've also made the comps act like regular boss stages due to not immediately knowing a better solution. While I'd love to make an update to PSSE to add the feature to make the offset of the save file zeroed out I can't program, so I unfortunately can't. Though I will suggest nullifying the offset of your console and checking in at least once before shutdown to avoid the hassle if you end up needing to change the clock, as once its nullified on the save file, its pretty much good to go for life. As a bonus, I've also ported DRI over from mobile, though that feature isn't as useful for people who are already using PSSE to get around farming.

The rotation that is ongoing right now for specials will last until 2037 if you don't get locked out though, so like 14 years for me to think of a better solution. Ideally I want to learn to make a code edit to the game to get around the lockouts and the fact that using the mod requires downgrading the save file back to 1.5.0. First priority though is making sure the extdata is still accessible to people who wanted to try the game on 3DS after the shutdown happens.

Good luck!

Is it possible to run my 3DS save on Citra?

I built the game's .cia from my 3ds and installed it on citra, but when trying to start the game version is still v1.5.0, while on my 3DS it shows as 1.5.11

I thought it could be because of the extra data that is installed on the 3DS

So I tried copying the extdata files from my 3DS to citra, but when I start the game and try to load my save it says some data was deleted and it needs to download new data, and I can't load the save

Can someone help me? I would really like to keep a backup because I invested a lot of time in this game and my 3DS is already kinda old, I would like to make sure I can always access this save

Are you absolutely sure you put them in the correct spot? Because it sounds like you never. The files go in extdata\00000000\00001410\user\arc

Looks like I didn't extracted the extra data correctly, this time I used Checkpoint and copied the files to the user/arc folder like you said, and it worked, I managed to load my save. Thanks very much!

Now, do you know a way to make the special stages work in the emulator? I got the traditional message "Your system time was changed..."
