Hello everybody, I have a PSP 2000 that was with vertical stripes and with a slightly faded image, I bought a new LCD, changed it and the problem continues...
As I have another PSP 2000 I decided to test the old screen and the new one I bought, both worked perfectly.
I connected the PSP to the TV with the component cable and the picture was perfect.
Does anyone have any idea what it might be?

alexander1970, thanks for answering.
Mine is exactly with this problem, I didn't post images because my registration on the forum is very recent and I still don't have permission.
I hope to find a solution for this case, the PSP is in excellent condition...

Hello.:)

alexander1970; did you take your PSP to a technical assistance?

No,Idid not further "Investigations".
It is my 3rd PSP Device and I only use it for Test Purposes. For 20 Euros I will not invest more into.
I am pretty sure it has to do with the Connectors and/or Mainboard.
Maybe I will re-open it again....but I remember I did it a few Times...

Maybe one Day I will get an 2000er Device in better Shape, but honestly,I am very happy with my 1004er Devices,:)

Thank you.:)

Got it.
I think I will take the PSP in a technical assistance to make an evaluation without compromise, if the value is good I will ask to fix it.
Thanks for listening.

Yes,it seems really the same.Since you also changed the Display.
Please have a closer Look on the Issue BEFORE I changed the Display:

It seems some Parts of the Screen are "moved/displaced".....
Maybe the PSP was dropped by the Pre-Owner or something like that...

The Lines comes afterwards the Display Change (and I mentioned it,it is a Display from Aliexpress, cheap China Ware).

So,maybe the Connector or maybe the Mainboard,I can not say it since I have no second 2000er PSP to test it.:)

Thank you.:)

LCD Panel is dead. I have the same issue (but 100 times worse). I ordered a display from Amazon and it worked "fine". The replacement LCD had issues where it would show the exact same issues when I press the case on it (the replacement LCD was super sensitive when it was pressured around the bottom edge).
I sent it back and ordered one from AliExpress. Hopefully that LCD will be fine.

Nb. The original PSP display doesn't suffer from pressure against the edges of the display, it, unfortunately, died on me.
