Gaming PSP keys dumped -- ANYTHING can now be signed as

Apparently, somebody has found out the keys for the PSP, and everything, from Homebrew, eboots, plugins, and custom firmwares, everything can now be signed as "official code" for the PSP... for example,

theoretically I can make a new emulator, for SNES, and sign it as a real game. it will work on official firmware and everything.

This is amazing. I can see how beneficial this will be for the hacking community. Same has happened for the PS3 too...

with all this Wii, DS, PS3, and PSP hacking 2011 is going to be a big year.

It's kinda' funny how he got them out of the PS3, to quote me from the other thread...

Sort of makes sense since the PS3 and PSP communicate in various ways. PS3 can send PSP executable data, it's gotta' be signed, and since the PSP came before the PS3, the PSP wasn't designed with a way to already accept info from just the PS3. ... or maybe it was set up like that originally and what they found was the keys for the PS3-PSP, but the PSP will run it anyways since that's the point? In other words maybe this is the "backup" key under the door mat?

Of course take note I don't actually know how it works.

Eboots yes (at least user mode), but I'm not sure about ISOs, as that's not simply disabling checks, but modifying the system.

AFAIK stuff runs in user mode normally, so think of this like a permanent HBL for now, though it certainly opens up a lot of options.

With the dreamcast you could burn bootable CDs yourself from any PC, but I think that had less to do with keys and more to do with simply figuring out the proper GD filesystem.
