I'm currently using gpSP-J, but i happen to notice some minor slowdowns in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red, while in dungeons.

Is this the best GBA Emulator to be around?

I don't appear to be able to load my Savefile, nor SaveState from gpSP-J in gpSP Kai. Ain't it possible?

I decided to start a new game on gpSP Kai, it runs smooth, but i cannot save the game. I guess because the Save settings of Kai are different. Can i change this?

kia has option to
update th save
2 way

when you save(automatic) and on Exit Only (use the exit option in the menu)

in the Misc section of the menu
set Update backup to automatic and it will update the save right after you save

Will it say in my game ''Save successfull'' instead of ''Save failed''?

None of the folder were ''Read Only''

Im guessing it is the same as with VBA. In there, you get a Save failed whenever the save type of the emulator is different then what is required for the game. (For example, 64kb, 128kb 256 kb etc)

Can i change this for gpSP?

So im either stuck with:

A: gpSP-J which runs the game in half speed, but can save properly
b: gpSP- Kai which runs the game at full speed but can't save properly, except for Savestates, which mean i cannot play the content after i have beaten the game?

After searching a bit, i noticed i got the same problems as with http://gbatemp.net/t...in-gpsp-kai-32/

There lies my problem..

I have found the problem and fixed it.

In the config file, the game code of mystery dungeon was B24E, while in truth, the game has B24P as code. (Or atleast my ROM) So after putting the right code, i can save, load my game.

Could be your ROM, because mine worked fine without altering the config file, but I'm glad to know that you got it working for you.

The PSP is great, isn't it?

Another question, i have downloaded Classic NES: Super mario bros from multiple sources now, but they all give me the error: bad Jump on gpSP Kai and gpSP-J
Is there a fix for this?

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

I think that's why I focus on just enjoying single player experiences that aren't too competitive

    How are you doing?

There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Maximumbeans, I'm doing alright, thanks.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.

@Maximumbeans, I had a friend who had a glass chess set for their birthday.

It was like all clear and fancy. Tbf I'm not too experienced with chess, but would like to learn someday.
