Ok, sorry for bumping this, but is there a way to format it somehow so that it shows its real size? I'd like to use whatever valid space of it until I get to buy a new one >_>

To check if you have a real Memory Stick, go to your Photo, Movie or Music section and click ^, then go to Information. If it says "MagicGate Supported" then it is real. If it says "MagicGate Not Supported" It is a fake.

Ok to find out the size, go to USB connection and do this

My computer > Right click whatever drive your psp is in > properties

I think he knows how to find the size. Its just that the flash memory has been hacked to report a larger size then their actually is.

EDIT: I think you might mean its eben hacked to show a different size, in that case, I'm sorry ;D

But I think it would be a bit extreme for them to do that

Actually it isn't extreme for them to do that.
to make a memstick bigger in MB size, You reformat it differently
to report different size. but it will be Slow and not even worht it..

It's All about the Allocation size and what the Memory stick has been set at.

I couldn't find the program. Try formatting the card with windows.
