If you have a O3DS, nope. However, if you have a N3DS or later, yes. Especially when you like a tidy Home Menu.

It is, the Arm9 in the 3DS actually slows down to the GBA's speed. It's similar how it works, but its not the same. It's not a VM either.

Arm9 is one of the processors on the 3DS. I guess it's like a cpu? The clockrate is downplayed so it can simulate a GBA's clockrate or cpu speed if you will. Edit: Oops, you were referring to the sarcasm bit. He was saying that he couldn't tell that you were being sarcastic because we're on the internet and there's no tone to text.

Super Mario Advance and several other games, none of them boot up, i even tried reinstalling mgba but it didn't work

The latest build works with my N3DS.
I´m on latest Luma, B9S and on Firmware 11.5.
I played F-Zero Climax and Final Fight One.
Did you try the latest stable Version 0.6?
Does it work for you?

mine is the same N3DS, except i don't have the latest Luma since i haven't been able to update pass 7.1

i switched to Version 0.6 of mgba and it runs fine it seems

Maybe it's a problem running on the outdated cfw?

I don't know how firmware would affect speed though.

On my N2DS, I've been primarily using mgba to play Pokemon Leaf Green. It runs about 50-60fps, which isn't bad but it's the sound slowing down that really screws with my liking. On my Vita, same issue with 50-60fps, so I don't know if the Vita port is as optimized as the 3ds port in that regard. Anyway, this is with the old stable release, I'm going to try P:LG with the new build and see how it is, if it runs perfectly, I'll have no need to be bothered anymore :V
