Except in both examples, everyone (Gateway, Supercard, and consumers) is engaged in illegal (legally gray at best) activities.

They call it the "Gateway plugin" that can "emulate a Gateway flashcart". Then the users use the Gateway launcher. I'd say this is pretty clear.

Go back to your own site, stupid Gateway sales representative. Gateway cards are pieces of shit, along with their entire company. Whether the whole CFW community is just as shitty is a different discussion. Using a Gateway card is dangerous, pointless, and unsafe. Everything that Gateway does, CFW does 3 times better. While it may be true that they were around first, and there is nothing wrong with being grateful for that, they are just flat-out obsolete.

Let me give you a little example. Say a parent(GW) has a disease, and the child(DSTWO+) catches it from the parent. The child then infects everyone at their school. Who infected everyone, the parent, or the child?

simply put gateway is a shit company attacking the user base to destroy the competition . . . shameful . . . no one should buy any of there products . . . its a piracy device with its own (extremely harsh) anti piracy in place ... just think about that for a second they sell a product to pirates all the while combating piracy (as if they deserve to be special/unique/untouchable) . . . but if i owned one i would not get rid of it while the company behind the card is immoral on too many levels the card itself is (and likely will not stop being) useful

Thanks for the info! Sorry if it seemed I was attacking you cause I genuinely didn't know if they said whether it was gateways or not. In that case most people who bought it were probable aware of what gateway is but I still wouldn't blame the user. Most people are buying this card to pirate in the first place and won't care if some of the code is stolen, and some little kids might see this and not know what gateway is. I think SC is at fault. Even though I really don't like gateway I feel they have a right to protect their product from being stolen. Gateway is at fault for any bricked consoles that only used their product though.

I've literally never seen this. Maybe I don't look at gateway threads enough but what I see is someone asking for help with gateway a9lh and getting reply saying don't use gateway cause it's inferior to normal a9lh or similar situations.

How would you feel if Ford installed programming into their vehicles, that could detect aftermarket 'non Ford' replacement parts and then bricked your vehicle from running. Would you blame the aftermarket company? Or is it ok because Ford was 'just protecting their company'?

Slightly different because the parts would need to be purchased so ford would get some money where as gateways code is stolen for free. Also because cars are supposed to be customizable unlike a cards program which was designed to be run on that one card and if it's run on anything else it's been stolen.
