and we strongly urge to cease using this plugin and only use GENUINE Gateway! You have been warned!"

I still think if the users combine two products together intentionally, ( both breaking warranties. ) despite warnings, it's the user's fault. Now, I know reading isn't the most fun/popular thing ever, but this hacking in general is guaranteed to cause system damage if used improperly. So, if the user dives in and just uses stuff, then gets a bricked console, even if team Gateway intentionally placed bricking code in it, it's kind of their right because it's their software. If you wish to play DS games via flashcart, ( I mean, you must have a Gateway if you got bricked, how else did you use Gateway's software? ) use that little blue card. They didn't include it for nothing. Moral of this story; stop using Gateway and DS2+ together.

3.4.1 launcher.dat and 1.0.3 gateway plugin *should* be safe, no brick reports until they released the 1.0.4 plugin and gateway released the 3.5.x launcher.dat

true, but one of the people who claims they were bricked may be sending their 3DS to me for unbricking, i have asked if they can include their DSTWO+ for testing, so we will see if we can get to the bottom of it

These flaws are apparently only present in the 3.5/3.5.1 betas.

No problems ever occurred until an update for the 3.4.1 gateway launcher was made. So as stated above, you'll be safe if you just use the 3.4.1 gateway launcher and 1.03 plugin. If issues do happen to appear, you might not be using those proper files.

i will never buy gateway...... i was about to, but this time i am sure that i will not.
knowing that they have some shady thinking like that make me unable to trust them.
even Nintendo don't brick your console if you hack it ( and don't say it's impossible ) , so why brickway do it ??
if they are able to find the difference between a clone and a genuine one then why just don't block the clone from working??
i don't like their way of doing think! i know they worked hard to make this flash card , BUT i don't need it if it's dangerous.
i feel like sky3ds plus will get more consumers because you can feel safe when you are using their product.
even if it cost more .... at least you know your 3ds will be alive. if you have 9.2 or less then just use CFW ....
they are open source and free , and ppl work hard to make stuff happen and we even have a great community that is always here to help.so what's stoping you from this......

A lot of companies are protective of their products. They don't want people hopping on to their work and using it. And all of this hacking stuff is dangerous to the system. Not just Gateway.

Plenty of unsupecting buyers bought region changed ones from dodgy stores (usa wiis were more valuable), updated to 4.3 as normal and got greeted with the 003. No different to unsuspecting dstwo buyers.

But nah, doesn't count cos it's Nintendo.

I don't necessarily agree with him but CFW still exists and is quite optimal for lots of piracy.
