As a separate download, you can get a pdf tutorial on encoding with Virtualdub, doesn't look too hard although I haven't tried yet!

I'm trying, but it take a fucking long time to just convert a 4mn avi video, at least 20mn

No avi i use mp4 27 minutes1280x720 video resized it in this tool to 400x240 5000kb 400mb 10 minutes
