Numerous PS5 games, like Jedi Fallen Order, FF7 Remake, and Horizon Forbidden West have a 'performance mode', and a 'graphics mode'. Most of the time I like to play these games in graphics mode because they look like crap if they aren't, however I love the silky smoothness of 60fps performance mode. I was wondering, would it be possible to upscale the PS5 with something like an MClassic while in performance mode to maybe get 4k 60fps? That would be like a PS5 Pro right there.

mClassic won’t do what you want - it can upscale to 4K only if the signal is 30 Hz or below, with 60 Hz signals maxing out at 1440p (but only if your display explicitly supports it, else 1080p). Consoles don’t AFAIK have the option of outputting a 30 Hz signal even for games that render at 30 fps (I have another device to downconvert low fps games to 30 Hz, and my TV only accepts 4K at 30 Hz anyway as it’s using HDMI 1.4 not 2.1 https://gbatemp.net/threads/upscaling-games-to-4k-if-60-fps-is-not-possible.614838/).
There is a competing device, the PhotoFast 4KGamer+ https://www.photofast.com/home-2/products/4kgamerplus/ / 4KGamer Pro https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/...spage&utm_medium=kspage&utm_campaign=kspage#/. This is specifically for upscaling 1080p60 to 4K60.

Doesn't work in this case, it is based on game for the performance mode and graphic mode, beside you need a 4k tv for 4k. Mclassic only upgrade the video output if it system output at a lower resolution.

Wow this 4k gamer pro thing looks great! I may have a possible candidate. Do you think it will work for my needs?

@The Real Jdbye, I thought about that and I have blank DVD's and Blurays but honestly after like 90 songs I just listen to it a couple of hundred times toss it out and burn something else or have like 2-3 CD's. Florida here the heat in the car tends to ruin the CD's after like a few months even commercial pressed ones don't last too long.
