Hi everyone, I have a PS5 that had every USB ports
busted, exception for the front USBC. I replaced
the broken ones and had to replace one control IC
(1D6K) that was damaged. Now they all work except
the front USB 2.0. The left filter of the front USB socket
is shorted to ground on the motherboard side, not the socket side.
I replaced the filter, it's not the culprit.
I can't find the origin of the short and using a donor board trying to locate it,
it appears it goes under the SOC...the console works
perfectly, it just doesn't charge or connect on that
one port. I probed almost every pads, components on
that board and can't find the short, has someone
encountered this problem? Is it the SOC or another
chip/cap I missed? Thank you!
