Why are so many people still using mira+hen? There is no need to use it anymore and people are just asking for trouble by using it.
Just use HEN instead.
From day 1 it has been well known and well reported that mira can cause issues.
The only reason to use mira+hen is if you are actually doing something that specifically requires mira, like kernel logging or a program that says to use mira for example.
It was only the very fist exploit release for FW 5.05 (in May 2018, I think) by specter that automatically loaded HEN and Mira together so at that time people did not have a choice.
A few weeks later xVortex updated and released his version of HEN for 5.05 (xVortex's HEN releases were the commonly used versions of HEN previously used on FW 4.05 and 4.55)
I think that the problem is that most af the guides were never updated and still mentiond the use of mira+hen so anyone who followed these guides when first exploiting their PS4's would not have known there was a more recent and stable method.
In short, kernel panics (random shutdowns) will always happen from time to time and are currently unavoidable. It's just because of how the exploit process works.
As mentioned before here and in many other posts and threads the best way to go about it is to wait a little while before runing an exploit.
Also after the PS4 has restarted after having a kernel panic, Do Not run the exploit again straigt away, Instead restart your PS4 again.
This method has been well reported and I totally agree that it does seem to help a lot.
Sometimes I can go for weeks without having a single kernel panic and then for no aparent reason I can get 3 or 4 of them in a row.
It's just something we all have to live with.
Hope some of this information helps.
