Hacking PS4 randomly shuts down

This may be anecdotal, but I have more success when I let the ps4 sit for a while at the main menu (where all the games are listed). I let it just sit there and load everything for about 3-5 minutes and then I go to settings and load mira+Hen. If it crashes. I start it up, run the disc check and once its up and running I reboot it again and just wait a bit at the main menu. It seems to me that if I go slow and just let everything load and take my time, It tends to work a little better. Like I said, I could be full of shit. But it's worth trying.

Why are so many people still using mira+hen? There is no need to use it anymore and people are just asking for trouble by using it.
Just use HEN instead.
From day 1 it has been well known and well reported that mira can cause issues.

The only reason to use mira+hen is if you are actually doing something that specifically requires mira, like kernel logging or a program that says to use mira for example.

It was only the very fist exploit release for FW 5.05 (in May 2018, I think) by specter that automatically loaded HEN and Mira together so at that time people did not have a choice.
A few weeks later xVortex updated and released his version of HEN for 5.05 (xVortex's HEN releases were the commonly used versions of HEN previously used on FW 4.05 and 4.55)

I think that the problem is that most af the guides were never updated and still mentiond the use of mira+hen so anyone who followed these guides when first exploiting their PS4's would not have known there was a more recent and stable method.

In short, kernel panics (random shutdowns) will always happen from time to time and are currently unavoidable. It's just because of how the exploit process works.

As mentioned before here and in many other posts and threads the best way to go about it is to wait a little while before runing an exploit.
Also after the PS4 has restarted after having a kernel panic, Do Not run the exploit again straigt away, Instead restart your PS4 again.
This method has been well reported and I totally agree that it does seem to help a lot.

Sometimes I can go for weeks without having a single kernel panic and then for no aparent reason I can get 3 or 4 of them in a row.
It's just something we all have to live with.

Hope some of this information helps.:)

^^ 110% this.

Mira is only useful for logging to putty right now. (Even then I run HEN 1.8+VR, followed by Mira for best results)

Cache your sploits, use purely HEN 1.8+VR ftw.

I very rarely ever have KP any more.

Hello,

I'm currently on 5.05 and sometimes after I run the mira+hen payload my PS4 shuts down and then I have to go through the updating system storage process.
Anyone know what could be causing this? Also, what payload should I be using only hen or hen+mira?

Thanks

Dont used Mira+hen.

Use 1.8 HEN

I only ask because a few months ago I did try to load just HEN and play a game I had on my ps4. It wouldn't load the game. I assumed it was because when I installed and transferred the game onto the ps4 I used the mira+hen method.

I usually just wait about a minute before loading hen, I never have any problems this way. It seems like the ps4 lets you launch things like the browser before everything in the os is fully loaded.

If it’s cached you can load things even quicker. But I would recommend waiting 30seconds after booting up for the system to idle.

Just unplug any USB device before loading hen.also let the PS4 rest for a few minutes prior to loading hen.basicly i let it rest for a few min. between
every action.hen+vr is the best payload.games installed with Mira might not work on hen1.8+vr not sure

Hi Kiiwii

Where is the best place to get HEN 1.8 + VR?
Does the VR help with the VR games in any way?

Thanks

Use X-Project 1.5.5, HEN 1.8+VR is on the L1 button ;)

VR “helps” by spoofing your console to let your VR headset work on your 5.05 console if the headset has been updated to 4.10.

It won’t let any newer games work, like Moss (5.53) for example.
