This is for 4.55 and not 4.05 I see no where it saying fat models only.

It's pretty much just for the 1.76 people who updated since they had early fat models.

Most people can't run this.

that's why I've been sitting on my console for the past one to two years or so. I've just been playing the wii u considering. hehe. I'm on 4.07 atm. I'll update in a week or two. :D

So, now that Linux displays correctly on Slims and Pros does anyone have a img that's compatible? I downloaded a PS4 Fedora img and flashed it to a usb drive but got static fuzz on screen when booting it?
I think the img must be updated with the new display fix?

It depends what it's trying to launch, with the 8 penguins at the beginning it looks like the Gentoo image used by Fail0verfl0w, so I would guess it's the old X.org (not Wayland) and it's probably trying to launch the XFCE session.

You should find some info in /var/log/syslog or /var/log/kern.log, the location of the X logs have changed lately on Debian (they are in the user home dir but there's Wayland and Gnome involved).

I will take a look if I find time later.

Thankyou, I'm trying to launch PS4 Fedora img and have been following this vid.

UPDATE..
I FINALLY managed to get some sort of Linux distro to run on my CUH-2016A PS4 Slim!
I got Ubuntu to boot by following this tut ;)

Of course I'd much prefer to get the Fedora PS4 img working since it has the 3D drivers support from Failoverflow and has PCSX and Dolphin Emulators built in ;)
I'm guessing the Fedora img needs updating to support the new slim/pro fix??
Ubuntu runs quite slow on PS4 :P
But at least I we can confirm Slims can now display Linux correctly!
Thanks to eeply fro the fix.. https://github.com/eeply/ps4-linux/releases
