MissionControl is the homebrew, the 8BitDo adapter is a fairly cheap hardware solution that works on vanilla consoles too.

ok i got one more issue i need to go to the pair thing on the switch to set up my controller ut i don't have my joy cons cuz i shipped them in the mail to nintendo and my touchscreen doesn't work what could i do?

The deal was through black Friday and yesterday but they do have a controller that you can by for $20. Just know the controller is wired and it doesnt rumble (only Bluetooth controller that rumble is the pro controller)

*Not all Xbox One wireless controllers support Bluetooth. Older variants use a proprietary 2.4Ghz protocol and cannot be used with the Switch.

i already have mission control but my ds4 wont pair with my switch any help?

just wanted to throw my 2 cents in. the homebrew i use is called sys-con, only downside is i don't think rumble works. at least it doesn't for me
