Hacking PS3 Phat transferring to PS3 slim...

My old Phat got YLOD last late-November.

I just bought a slim less than a month ago and have jailbreak it...

I was wondering if it's safe to just straight transfer everything from one PS3 of a different model to my new slim through awesome manager.
...My Phat is not operational and repairing it is out of the question.

I really want to retrieve everything I lost, so I'm asking for some advice.

Any tips?

P.S. I'm planning to backup the flash before I proceed...if I ever do attempt it.
