Wanting to play a lot of games... buy a PS3 break it...dnld games and try them...and then buy the games that you really want..

hey, thegame, its possible to play emus on the ps3 without having it cracked i believe. all you have to do is install linux to it and then emus to your linux installation. im pretty sure its tougher than it actually sounds to install linux and then emus but im also pretty sure its a lot easier than you having to manually crack your ps3 using some crazy haxors tutorial.

the power dedicated to linux is very low
SPE core access is pretty much down to nothing
it can barely run a gbc emu

All in All, I don't care, but being able to play PSX backups on it would be pretty awesome. Unfortunately I didn't get the model that plays PS2 games, so I'd be content with a PSX backup launcher.

Damn. When I first read the thread title I was like "Oh great, Colin (a friend of mine who got a ps3) will be pretty happy about this" then, I clicked onto this thread and read the news just to find out that it's not fully decrypted and you can't modify the files itself. (atleast not all files. Only a few types of files are decrypted.

)
