Hardware Ps3 Hdd change?

I have 2 ps3 s one of them hdmi start dying, question is can i just change hdd from first to second or i need some extra steps mean about users and saves?

Disks are encrypted for the console, so use the official transfer tool via ethernet, available in Settings > System

...but if your video out socket is broken, you can always use an analog cable or get a (fairly standard) replacement fitted by your local TV repair shop!

You can't just swap HDDs due to encryption. I would use composite and backup your saves to a USB. Then log-in on the other PS3 with the same account and copy back the saves.

Thx a lot, so i must backup system files from settings menu and then restore to a other console ?

the hdd for the same system is tied to the xregistry (contains its serial number). it's in another place in the flash, but I don't know what that's used for. on NOR consoles, the xregistry is stored on the hdd in an area called the vflash, so you should be able to swap drives without formatting as long as the drives are from the same firmware.
