Hacking ps3 + cobra qsv question

hi, i get in the next week a ps3 super slim 4k with cobra qsv ofw is 4.53 and cobra firmware 2.1
can i play the most games with it ? can i play games if they have a newer firmware on disc ? or should i update to the newest firmware, but i think its bad because i dont want to use swap discs, can i install psn games or addons offline ? i dont want to play online, is there anything else i should know ? thanks for your help

You can play most games from it. Anything over 4.53 will have to resigned by you to match w/e firmware you're on.

4.55+ OFW blocked most ODE's, and their workaround requires swap discs so you're going to be stuck on 4.53 for awhile. The current workaround uses 2 swap discs to get working on 4.65 as well as purchase of an unreleased hardware addition. No reason to update FW anyways. You'll never be able to play online though with 4.53.

No you cannot install addons or packages directly on OFW. The only way is to possibly create an ISO with them as extra data. Even that is hit and miss.

They bypassed 4.65 too. Problem is

A) He doesn't want to use a swap disc - so anything 4.55+ will require one.
B) Running on the latest FW requires soldering of a cover switch wire.
C) You'll also need to update to 2.2 FW on the Cobra unit to use it.

i have read that custom firmware doesnt work on ps3 super slim because it isnt downgradeable

well,consider the economic advantages with cfw. it can be best to sell ur ps3 super slim for a ps3 slim

To be honest, I would sell PS3 super slim because it is ugly design and ugly slide from right to left. Also the cover is so plastic. Nah. If you really want CFW with no tools and its free then get PS3 slim with 3.41 or 3.55 FW then you are good to go.

free games? ps3+psn - also with new cfw, you play on internet like any ofw console.

Includes twitch, navix, plays all movie formats, no civinia (mute sound) .

also plays psp, ps2,ps1, snes, nes, and alla other console games/roms .
